Playing PS2 in my PJs
As a teacher, I got more time off (or at least away) from work as the average Joe. As a principal now, though, I work pretty much all year round. All the more reason to enjoy my time off when it comes up.
Summer break is around he corner. As I reflect on what I did during Spring Break and Christmas Break, I think I'll being doing the same for a while this summer - playing PS2 in my PJs with my 9 year old son Nicholas.
You can infer alot from what someone does with his free time. I am from a gaming generation, growing up on Pac-Man, Galaga, and TRON. My son seems to have inherited those addictive genes.
Our favorite game of choice now is Tak2 - Staff of Dreams. Kathy and I gave him the PS2 for Christmas last year. Initially I was against it, believing the only games out there were the ultra-violent spawns of DOOM and Grand Theft Auto.
We spend hours problem solving, laughing, yelling and high-fiving as we advance through the games.
Not a bad way to spend a bit of free time.
